Salary: £33,000 per annum

Role Summary 

As a Stores Operative/Driver your main responsibility will be to take deliveries and manage stock levels.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received. 
• Ensure all stock is stored in the correct manner.
• Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock. 
• Keeping a detailed records of shortages and spares of items.
• Updating inventory management systems regularly.
• Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift (training can be provided).
• Organising and delivering goods from the store to our base locations around the country. 

Skills/Qualities required  

• IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
• Forklift/counterbalance licence.
• Experience working in a similar inventory or stock control role.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• If working in a specialist organisation, a good knowledge of the products they keep in stock could be required (for example, if working in an electrical store, you may be required to have a good working knowledge of electrical equipment.
