Position Summary
The VP of Canada is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, financial results, and customer satisfaction of aviation services operations across Canada. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on operational oversight to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery in a highly regulated aviation environment.
This role will lead multiple airport operations, develop high-performing teams, strengthen airline and airport authority partnerships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support company growth, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture.
This position requires a proven leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution, build strong relationships with customers and regulators, and foster a culture aligned with company values and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational leadership
Champion a strong safety-first culture across all locations
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety standards and company policies
Provide overall leadership and direction for aviation services operations across Canada
Ensure safe, secure, and efficient service delivery in compliance with regulatory and company standards
Drive operational excellence through performance management, process improvement, and workforce optimization
Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve service and financial targets
Lead emergency response and IROPs management as required
Financial and Business Performance
Own full P&L responsibility for Canada operations
Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cost -control strategies
Identify revenue growth opportunities and support business development initiatives
Drive productivity improvements and operational efficiency
Monitor financial performance and implement actions ato achieve profitability targets
Customer and Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners, airport authorities, and regulatory agencies
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service reliability
Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns and operational issues
Drive and support contract negotiations, service expansions, and new business opportunities
People and Culture Leadership
Lead, coach and develop a diverse workforce across multiple locations
Build a culture of accountability, engagement and teamwork
Ensure effective workforce planning, staffing, and succession planning
Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives
Develop strong relationships with Unions as well as with strategic suppliers
Strategic Execution
Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans
Lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
Identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiencies
Align regional operations with company elevation standards and organizational goals
