Requirements and Description

The EHSS Director, reporting to the VP of Safety & Compliance, leads a dynamic team of program safety and compliance leaders while directing, developing, and overseeing Unifi’s health, safety, environmental, and security policies and procedures. This role includes management of Gensuite, the backbone of Unifi’s Safety Management System for tracking, analysis, and trending of safety- and quality-related data. The EHSS Director must thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring attention to detail, creativity, and consistency.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Build strong relationships with stakeholders across internal teams and external partners.

Direct and manage health, safety, environmental, and security programs, ensuring regulatory compliance across operations.

Monitor regulatory changes closely and provide guidance to the organization to maintain compliance.

Oversee the Gensuite platform, ensuring accurate reporting, trending, and data analysis to drive safety and compliance initiatives.

Develop, implement, and govern key metric reporting for safety and compliance programs, providing visibility into milestones and performance.

Conduct ad-hoc data trending and analysis to proactively identify risks and recommend solutions.

Lead safety and compliance audits, incident investigations, and corrective action planning.

Support the ongoing development and continuous improvement of company-wide EHSS training programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience in safety, environmental, health, or security management.

Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and related regulatory bodies and standards.

Experience managing EHS software platforms, preferably Gensuite.

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, operational environment.
