Job Summary:

The Bus Operator is responsible for delivering employee shuttle passengers to assigned airport areas in accordance with passenger specifications.

Job Duties:  

·   Monitor and enforce safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.

·   Promotes and adheres to policies concerning safety, anti-harassment and equal employment opportunity.

·   Perform Pre & Post DVIR safety checks of your assigned bus.

·   Follow and maintain safety protocols, using safety exercises as “the go to” recommended best practices.

·   Conduct and maintain professional appearance while on duty.

·   Provide customer service that aligns with bus service.

·   Able and willing to transport buses to and from the maintenance shop for preventable maintenance service.

·   Always adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors.

·   Use CB radios to stay informed of route information and communicate with supervisor and colleagues.

·   May be required to assist with bags weighing up to 13 pounds.

·   Coordinates with clients in performing additional operation activities regarding passenger/crew movement from a remote area to the terminal.

·   Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications:  

·   High School diploma or GED.

·   Must be at least 18 years of age.

·   Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.

·   Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with P endorsement.

Physical requirements:  

·   Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to 70 lbs, push, pull, walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.

Working conditions:  

·   Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.

·   Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
