Since 1966, Prospect Airport Services has provided support to the aviation industry on behalf of commercial airlines. Prospect currently operates across 30 cities and 31 airports across the United States on a 24/7, 365 day per year basis. Prospect is currently looking for the ideal candidate to fill an Aviation Compliance Specialist position. The role’s primary responsibility is to drive compliance during on-aircraft monitoring and auditing of the aircraft search performance.

Location: The Aviation Compliance Specialist is based at Prospect’s operations at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), or Orlando International Airport (MCO). 

  

 

Job Summary:  

The primary responsibility of the Aviation Compliance Specialist is to provide direct oversight to the aircraft search program by conducting performance (quality assurance) audits, testing (quality control) audits, training, and data analytics. Team members may be asked to lead or assist with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.

Job Duties:  

  • Performs unannounced audits of aircraft cabin searches to ensure compliance with TSA, NRS, and company standards. 

  • Uses tools like SafetyCulture, iAuditor, and NRS to document and track audit results. 

  • Provides in-the-moment coaching to cabin service employees on proper search techniques. 

  • Partners with trainers and local leadership to improve compliance and training consistency. 

  • Tracks and reports key compliance metrics to highlight program effectiveness and areas for improvement. 

  • Maintains accurate compliance data and records for regulatory and internal use.. 

  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Qualifying Agent (QA) for regulated security operations. 

  • Supports investigations related to performance issues, incidents, or noncompliance. 

  • Works a flexible schedule, including weekends and overnights, and may assist at other stations when needed. 

 

 

 

Qualifications:  

Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following- 

  • Internal Auditing, Training, Quality Control, Regulatory Compliance 

  • Airport Operations, Catering Security, Aircraft Charter Security, Airport Passenger Screening 

ISAGO Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of Security Programs (AOSSP, PCSSP, MSP, TFSSP), and; 

  • Experience with implementation of regulatory policies and procedures; interdepartmental project management, auditing, recordkeeping and internal investigations. 

  • Must pass federal background checks and qualify for AOA driving credentials.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with leadership, internal teams, clients, and regulators. 

  • Highly responsive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage urgent tasks and competing priorities independently. 

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and perform under pressure. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); able to work independently with minimal supervision. 

 

Working Location 

  • This role may require travel up to 80% of the time outside of the base location (Philadelphia, Chicago, Newark, or Orlando). 

  • Depending upon base location, this position may require up to 80% travel, including overnight.
