Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates daily activities of employees to ensure a safe and effective operation.
- Monitors and enforces safe working habits in accordance with OSHA, TSA, DOT, USPS regulations, UNIFI Aviation and Safety policies, and all applicable laws.
- Leads and supports an employee-engaged culture.
- Responsible for conducting daily Safety Observations on all facets of the operation Enforces Company policies and procedures including corrective action and promotes UNIFI Aviation policy on Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Harassment, and diversity initiatives.
- Responds to employee issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Communicates with Station Manager concerning any problems or issues.
- Assists Safety Manager with injury and damage investigations Trains, coaches, counsel and mentors' employees in compliance with DGS and station policies.
- Conducts hazard assessments, safety audits and participates in safety meetings Performs job duties of assigned shift. (i.e., ramp, cabin service, customer service, passenger service)
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- One (1) to two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Prior ramp, cabin or customer service experience required.
- Must be 18 years of age; eligible to work in the US; able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, FBI criminal and USPS background check; and complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security badge.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License for operating ground support equipment.
